Viktoria Postnikova, legend of the Russian school.

We are honoured that pianist Viktoria Postnikova, legend of the Russian school, has chosen us for one of her very rare appearances on stage in France. Winner of both the Chopin and Tchaikovsky prizes, she has spent her illustrious, fifty-year career playing the Russian repertoire around the world.

She will begin with Moussorgski’s famous Pictures at an Exhibition, a Slavic-inspired kaleidoscope in ten movements, based on pictures by the artist Victor Hartmann. She will follow this with the Shostakovich’s last ever piece, a blend of the quaint and the melancholic, alongside Gérard Caussé, France’s greatest viola player and a regular guest at the Easter Festival.
