Schubertiade 2 - Pygmalion

The Pygmalion ensemble was founded in 2006 and brings together singers and instrumentalists. They perform Brahms' very rich repertoire for choirs that they like to blend with other pieces from 19th century composers. In 2013, they worked on Schumann. In 2014, they are following up with Mendelssohn and Schubert : the former completing a glimpse of a cappella sacred music of the time, while the second brings the repertoire away from religion while remaining spiritual and calls on certain instruments to accompany the voices.

Wielding the baton is the founder of Pygmalion, Raphaël Pichon , whose charisma and commitment have resulted in awards for the ensemble's recording and great critical and public acclaim.
