Concert

Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino, Gianandrea Noseda

Unanimously lauded for his performance of the repertoire of his native Italy, Gianandrea Noseda manifests also a real predilection for Russian composers, having spent ten years in the prestigious Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg as main guest conductor. This programme brings together Rachmaninov 's Second Piano Concerto with Rimski-Korsakov 's Scheherazade. Khatia Buniatishvili should give Rachmaninov' Concerto the full measure of its lyricism and strength but also its sweet fragility.
