Concert

Hélène Mercier & Louis Lortie

They've known each other since childhood, and have been playing together for almost as long: Louis Lortie and Hélène Mercier share a rare closeness one only needs to see them play together, facing one another on two pianos or side by side. In their respective careers, each one represents an anchor for the other and their concerts depict a space where they create a common, blended sound.
They play a piece which had a fundamental role in their career, Schubert 's Fantasy en F minor D 940. Born in the intimacy of salons where music was made between friends, it has become a cornerstone of the four-handed repertoire.
