Mahler Chamber Orchestra
The adventure of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra began in 1997 when maestro Claudio Abbado decided to create a chamber music outfit with young, dynamic soloists from all over Europe.
They will perform at the Easter Festival under the direction of the violinist Isabelle Faust , with a programme where the soul swings between Bach's introspective expression at the summit of his polyphonic art in The Art of fugue , the almost Italian lyricism of the young Mendelssohn in The Hebrides or his Violin Concerto.
