Concert

Mauro Peter, Helmut Deutsch

Schumann, Liszt, Strauss

The tenor Mauro Peter is already considered to be one of the most promising talents of his generation in the world of the lied. He is a dedicated musician and, since 2010, has formed a duo with the pianist Helmut Deutsch that brings the rigour and finesse necessary to the delicate exercise of accompanying a poem.

At the Théâtre du Jeu de Paume, they will perform Schumann 's Five Lieder , a deeply moving and realist marvel, that oscillates between candour and emotion. They will follow this by two series of lieder written by Strauss during his young adulthood and finally with Liszt 's Three Petrarch Sonnets blending the emotional sobriety of the madrigal with the inspired vocals of the Italian opera.
