Concert

R. Capuçon, J.-Y. Thibaudet

The Knights

The New York-based ensemble The Knights , under the direction of the Jacobsen brothers, one conducting, the other playing the violin, has made a name for itself with its pronounced taste for blends, its vivifying performances and its collaborations with virtuosos such as Itzhak Perlman or Yo-Yo Ma.

In Aix, it will play with the best France has to offer, Renaud Capuçon and the pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Making a rare appearance in France, Thibaudet, a complete artist, is as at ease in the traditional repertoire as he is in the contemporary canon and the world of jazz. He is currently enjoying a distinguished career peppered with international awards and success in the greatest American concert halls and festivals the world over.
