Carte Blanche à Renaud Capuçon

Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg
Sunday 27 April - 17h00
Grand Théâtre de Provence

To close the Festival, Renaud Capuçon wields both baton and bow, accompanied by the historic, 90 year-old Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.

The connection between the French violinist and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra grow stronger every day. Following on from his recent concerts as a soloist under the baton of Gustavo Gimeno, Renaud Capuçon made his debut as a player-conductor with the musicians for the first time in early 2024. This year’s Easter Festival carte blanche programme sees them consolidate their relationship with a very German selection: Mozart’s light, inventive Violin Concerto No. 3 follows Beethoven’s overture to The Creatures of Prometheus and the extremely romantic “Scottish” Symphony by Mendelssohn.
