Each year, Renaud Capuçon gets together with his musician friends for his Carte Blanche concert, to surprise and delight Aix music lovers.

He welcomes eight superb soloists from all over Europe.
Together, they will perform an astonishing version, arranged for a chamber orchestra, of the master of Austrian romanticism, Anton Bruckner’s Symphony n°7. They performed it last summer at the Salzburg Festival, to great acclaim: “A monument of orchestral music, revealed by a fabulous chamber orchestra sound” (Salzburger Nachrichten).
Through their commitment and attentiveness to one another, these nine musicians will captivate and transport the audience, rebuilding this symphonic cathedral, a Wagnerian-tinted work that is of the earth and of the heavens…
A fitting closing event for the 2022 edition of the Easter Festival!
