At only 24 years of age, Lucie Horsch has already been referred to in The Guardian as “the latest big thing in recorder playing”.

A committed, talented musician, she is on a mission to boost the reputation of her instrument’s repertoire, that was hugely popular at the start of the 18th century.

Blending the sharp sounds of the harpsichord with the recorder’s angelic colours, alongside harpsichord player Max Volbers, she has concocted a programme of joyful yet melancholic, sparkling yet discreet pieces that intertwine transcriptions from the early 20th century with Italian, French and German baroque music.
