Carte blanche à Gérard Caussé
”France’s most influential viola player” (La Tribune de Genève).
Gérard Caussé is not only an incomparable viola player, he is also a true friend of the Easter Festival, having featured nearly every year since 2013. It is only natural therefore that, this year, we have decided to give him carte blanche to organise a concert of his choosing, according to his taste and affinities. Consequently, he has invited his own ‘usual suspects’ Renaud Capuçon and Clemens Hagen, alongside young Clémence de Forceville, and has even managed to convince the eminent François-René Duchâble to take to the stage once more. Together they will perform a programme that highlights the intimate voice of the viola, the harmonic cornerstone of (almost) any piece of music.
