Chopin, Concerto No.2
evening
The second woman (after Martha Argerich) to win the prestigious Chopin Competition, Yulianna Avdeeva, a pianist with a fiery temperament, is passionate about Bach, Mozart, Chopin and Liszt, and her recordings bear witness to "a very personal musical approach" (Le Point).
She has chosen to perform Chopin's romantic Piano Concerto No.2 (1831) with her partners from the CAMERATA Salzburg.
The "contagious enthusiasm" (Neue Zürcher Zeitung) of this elite ensemble, a regular guest at the Easter Festival, is also evident in their symphonic program devoted to Viennese classicism, featuring Schubert's sumptuous Symphony No. 3 and two opera overtures by Mozart and Salieri.
