Brothers and sisters
Bach, Mozart and Mendelssohn: for all three, music was a family affair, passed down from father to children, shared with siblings feeding off one another's talent. Times have changed but this reality remains. Renaud Capuçon should know as he is aware of the intense closeness that links him to his brother Gautier , from their childhood in Chambéry to the stages of the world.
Through a subtle network of friendships and encounters, the two musicians will be joined by other families for the occasion: the “Aixois” La Marca s, the Chilemme s, whose young quartet Cavatine forms one of the string formations to be watched and the Moreau s. Together, they will perform two pieces from composers who also experienced music “en famille”: the Quintet in C major by Schubert and the Octet by Mendelssohn , a masterpiece by a young man of only sixteen.
