Vadim Gluzman

MOZART, BRUCH, SCHNITTKE

Vadim Gluzman 's incredible sonority and Slavic lyricism are praised the world over. The Aix audience will be given a chance to discover his chamber music talents, where he also excels, along- side four musicians from Northern and Eastern Europe.

The highly eclectic programme spans three centuries of music, from Mozart to the contemporary Schnittke with a stopover at Bruch. Mozart's String Quintet n° 4 in G minor is probably one of his most expressive pieces. Bruch's Quintet in A minor illustrates the characteristic expressiveness of the last days of German romanticism. Finally, Moz-Art is a funny, caustic pastiche from Schnittke based on quotations and collages of Mozartian themes.
