Lea Desandre, Ensemble Jupiter

Lea Desandre, whose dream was to follow in the footsteps of her idol, Natalie Dessay, today represents “the incarnation of passion and precision” according to Opéra Magazine.

Along with the Jupiter ensemble, composed of young, well-established soloists, she will give a recital based on amazon women. The androgynous, feminine warriors feature, with passion and determination, in a number of early 18th century operas. The programme includes pieces by Rameau, Couperin and Vivaldi not to mention Philidor and Destouches for what promises to be a sparkling evening where Lea Desandre’s round timbre will take her, and us, from anger to madness, from exhortation to lamentation.
