Bertrand Chamayou

Intégrale Ravel
Sunday 13 April - 20h30
Grand Théâtre de Provence

One of France’s greatest pianists of the past twenty years, Bertrand Chamayou, takes the audience on a journey through Maurice Ravel’s complete works for the piano.

On the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ravel, Bertrand Chamayou treats us to a repeat performance of his 2016 recording of Ravel’s complete works for the piano, “a performance to be reckoned with, thanks to its sonority and its sense of personal reflection” according to Radio France.

This relatively small collection of pieces is rich in poetry and technical prowess, encouraging the pianist to take a humble yet inspired approach: “you have to hone, to craft, to find changes in the light, but never overdo it”, he explains.
