Concert

Renaud Capuçon, Kian soltani, Mao Fujita

Schubert, Brahms
Monday 14 April - 20h30
Grand Théâtre de Provence

The impressive trio of Renaud Capuçon accompanied by pianist Mao Fujita and cellist Kian Soltani bring us a performance of two chamber music standards.

Over the past few years, the Aix-en-Provence audience has been lucky enough to experience Kian Soltani’s “pure perfection” (Gramophone), while Mao Fujita made his festival debut in 2024. In
2017, when the talented young pianist burst onto the music scene by winning the Clara Haskil Competition in Switzerland, he was not yet twenty years old, and he has been thrilling audiences since.
As part of a Europe-wide tour, the three soloists perform one of Schubert’s last pieces, the magnificent Piano Trio No. 1, as well as Brahms’ Piano Trio No. 1, which was composed when he was only twenty years old, and revised over thirty years later.
