Peruvian tenor, Juan Diego Flórez alongside soprano Marina Monzó, has concocted a programme of airs and duets from the most beautiful romantic operas.

From Rossini to Donizetti, Leoncavallo to Puccini, via an extract from Gounod’s magnificent Romeo and Juliet, our two singers will bring these sumptuous songs of love to life! They will be accompanied by the Orchestra of the Opéra de Lyon fresh from its triumphant performance of Verdi’s Falstaff at the Aix Opera Festival. Ever since its establishment in 1983, it has been led and supported by the greatest conductors (Gardiner, Nagano, Langrée, Fischer), the orchestra is currently under the baton of Christopher Franklin, known for his direction of the great Italian operas.
