Les violoncellistes français II

Beethoven
Wednesday 20 April - 20h30
Conservatoire Darius Milhaud
Édition 2022

Expect to be moved !

For the second cello recital, five of France’s greatest cellists - Marc Coppey, Ophélie Gaillard, Anne Gastinel, Jérôme Pernoo and Xavier Phillips – invite you to an evening of Beethoven.
His five Sonatas, composed between 1796 and 1815, constitute the first steps of a romantic repertoire, retracing the composer’s evolution, from the light, virtuoso tendencies of the classic style to the more expressive sounds of maturity. Two piano virtuosos who regularly perform on the world’s biggest stages, Jérôme Ducros and Guillaume Bellom, will accompany the six soloists as they bring these sonatas to life, expressing their charm in the warm acoustics of the Conservatoire.
