Mozart, Requiem
evening
There are few experiences more intense than an evening spent watching the mesmerising Barbara Hannigan on stage.
The Canadian soprano with the crystal-clear voice is a true performer, who is equally at home singing or conducting an orchestra.
After a remarkable performance at the 2021 Easter Festival, Hannigan returns to the Grand Théâtre, surrounded by singers who shift smoothly from Viennese classicism to contemporary music. At the helm of the prestigious Radio France Philharmonic, Hannigan will direct Mozart’s Requiem, the most romantic and poignant of the Salzburg native’s œuvre. Afterwards, echoing the sweet sorrow of Mozart’s Lacrimosa, the rich, passionate sound of Alban Berg’s superb Violin Concerto, will ring out in the Grand Théâtre.
