First visit for the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande’s in the Easter Festival !

The conductor Jonathan Nott, known for his robust interpretation of the 19th century’s grand repertoire, has chosen a colourful programme, that will allow the orchestra fully express its palette of sound.
Renaud Capuçon is the perfect choice to perform Elgar’s Violin Concerto, a vast, extraordinary pillar of late Romanticism, as he has just released a critically acclaimed recording. Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring will follow, providing a powerful melodic counterpoint. Famed for the sensation it caused when first performed, it remains a piece whose rhythmic verve and poignant energy come through in the numerous orchestral solos and flamboyant tuttis.
