Ensemble Matheus

At the helm of the Ensemble Matheus since its inception in 1991, the vibrant maestro, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, is unmatched in his chosen repertoire, “triumphant baroque” (Ôlyrix). Blending an extraordinary energy with consummate precision, the conductor is teaming up this evening with two exceptional singers, countertenor Carlo Vistoli and bass Luigi De Donato. Together, they will perform an opera programme of Vivaldi, Handel, Monteverdi and Purcell.
