The Orchestra Mozart was established in 2004 by Claudio Abbado and has since forged a solid reputation for itself among European orchestras.

Its recordings of Mozart’s symphonies on Deutsche Grammophon are considered to be the versions of reference among music critics. The forty musicians will perform under the baton of Daniele Gatti, praised for “his arm’s exceptional mastery” (Le Figaro) and his “unwavering high standards” (Diapason).

The new musical director of the prestigious Staatskapelle Dresden has chosen to perform Wagner’s symphonic poem Siegfried Idyll and two pieces by Brahms: the energetic Variations on a theme by Haydn and the magistral Symphony No. 4.
