Bertand Chamayou

Crowd favourites Les Siècles orchestra and Bertrand Chamayou are back at Aix this year led by Jakob Lehmann, a young conductor who recently started a successful collaboration with the ensemble.
Bertrand Chamayou is an Easter Festival regular, at the 2025 edition, he gave a memorable complete performance of Ravel and he is back this year with a new challenge deserving of his talent. He will be performing Liszt’s two piano concertos in one evening, two extremely personal pieces that took a number of years to reach maturity. Les Siècles will play, on historical instruments as is their wont, extracts from Parsifal and Tristan and Isolde, by Wagner. The evening will reveal the connections between the two composers and their mutual esteem and friendship.
