The Four Seasons

Anne-Sophie Mutter

Energy, enthusiasm and precision are omnipresent in Anne-Sophie Mutter 's playing. The violonist has travelled the world, filling audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with joy with her ease in both the classical violin and contemporary repertoires.

She also loves to share her passion with young talent that she comes across in the master classes she runs. She set up the Mutter Virtuosi ensemble in 1997 to give brilliant students a chance to accompany her in concertos and chamber music.

The audience will be familiar with the warmth of Mendelssohn's Octet and with Vivaldi 's Four Seasons , a high point in the sonic and visual rhetoric that so affected Vivaldi and his peers.
