French Mélodies
The Radio-France Children's Choir was founded in 1946 and it allows the children and teenagers who join to access a high level music training programme with intensive choir practice that means they can then perform to the highest level.
It is oriented toward contemporary music and offers a varied repertoire under the watchful eye of the Swedish director Sofi Jeannin. She passes on the precision and taste for excellence of the particularly vibrant Nordic choral tradition to her young recruits. This evening's programme is dedicated to the secular work of French composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.
