NDR Sinfonieorchester

Thomas Hampson & Krzysztof Urbanski

The NDR Sinfonieorchester , Hamburg's greatest orchestra, has chosen to stick with its repertoire of choice for its first ever performance at the Easter Festival, Romantic music.

The young Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbański will lead them in a programme which features Till Eulenspiegel, a symphonic poem by Richard Strauss as well as extracts from a lieder cycle by Gustav Mahler, Des Knaben Wunderhorn , sung by the prodigious American baritone Thomas Hampson.
