Mariinsky Orchestra
Dating from the time of Peter the Great, the Mariinsky Orchestra is one of Russia's oldest ensembles. It has been under the baton of the charismatic Valery Gergiev since 1988 and will take over the stage at the Grand Théâtre alongside Renaud and Gautier Capuçon. They will perform a Franco-German programme alternating between symphonic prelude and concertos: among them two concertos by Henri Dutilleux and Brahms' Double Concerto.
