Mahler Symphony n°3

Budapest Festival Orchestra

Under the baton of Iván Fischer, the Budapest Festival Orchestra was rated among the world's ten best orchestras in 2008. The musicians have enjoyed working with many prestigious guest conductors (Sir Georg Solti, Charles Dutoit, etc.) who have brought them on to the world's greatest stages. They are performing a grandiose and demanding repertoire: Mahler's Third Symphony.

This work was composed between 1895 and 1896 and, according to the composer, metaphysically “begins with inanimate nature before rising up to God's love”.
