Concert

Beethoven, Symphony No. 9

Orchestre national de France, Christoph Eschenbach

Over one hundred and fifty musicians will gather on the stage of the Grand Théâtre for an exceptional event: a performance of Beethoven's “Ninth”. The Easter Festival Programme is including this monument for the first time, as it brings together the Orchestre national de France with the Radio France choir under the direction of Christoph Eschenbach.

The conductor, who is also a gifted pianist – will play another of Beethoven's masterpieces, The Spring Sonata , on Sunday April 16th – thus displaying his particular, almost emotional relationship with Beethoven with this hymn to universal joy and fraternity, a veritable musical testimonial.
