Tchaikovsky, Violin concerto
An Italian wave is set to crash over Aix-en-Provence with the return of the Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino that has been under the direction of Gianandrea Noseda since 2007, a conductor well versed in both the demands of the symphonic repertoire and the pitfalls of the opera.
“Transforming pieces into sublime lacework” ( Libération ), he splits his time between Berlin, Vienna, Paris and New York. However, he is most at home at the head of this orchestra that was founded by Arturo Toscanini. Alexandra Conunova was revealed in 2014 by a Génération @ Aix concert. With her precise and sensitive style, refined through working with Ivry Gitlis and Igor Oistrakh, the young soloist will perform the famous Concerto for violin by Tchaikovsky.
