Concert

Chamber Orchestra of Europe

Sir András Schiff

“I must tell you that I've written a little piano concerto, with a pretty little scherzo” wrote Brahms after having created his Piano concerto No.2. Despite its modest presentation, the “little concerto” conquered its public from the offset, dazzled by its orchestral verve and the volubility of its solos that Sir András Schiff will surely transcend.

The Hungarian-born pianist will be accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Europe , an Easter Festival regular.

It will perform two pieces that marked their century through the depth of their writing and the refinement of their architecture: Bach 's The Musical Offering and Music for strings, percussion and celesta by Bartók.
