Young talents

Génération @ Aix

Brahms, Bartók

Each year, the Easter Festival provides a platform to young, talented musicians.

Under the stewardship of the clarinettist Paul Meyer , the team of young musicians includes cellist Julia Hagen and Guillaume Bellom on the piano, probably the only musician of his generation to have a dual international career as both a violinist and pianist. At the tender age of 22, the violinist Eva Zavaro , the youngest of the group, completes the cast. She recently played as a soloist under the baton of Sir John Eliot Gardiner in London.

The programme includes three trios, two by Brahms and one by Bartók : Contrasts for violin, clarinet and piano, a sharp piece that is nevertheless full of warmth.
