A highlight of the Easter Festival, Renaud Capuçon 's Carte blanche concert celebrates, above all, the joy of sharing music with friends. And what joy when the evening's guests include Martha Argerich , Daniel Barenboim and Kian Soltani.

As part of the Debussy centenary, the musicians will perform the Sonata for cello and piano , a combination of sarcasm and poetry, written by a musician who was then in the twilight of his life, dejected by the First World War. A few Spanish touches - one of the Iberia composer's favourite influences - are scattered through the two last movements, while the first means to reconcile with the high-minded allure of the French baroque overtures.
