WIENER STAATSOPER

The prestigious Vienna State Opera gives its only performance of the year outside Austria. Founded in 1810, the orchestra and choirs are the gatekeepers of the rich musical tradition of Vienna, perpetuated and revisited by the prestigious musical directors who have succeeded one another: Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Herbert von Karajan, Lorin Maazel, etc.

The French conductor Alain Altinoglu will conduct a concert version of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro an opera buffa , with its flexible strokes, clever verses and sparkling overture. Based on Beaumarchais' comedy, reworked by Lorenzo da Ponte, the piece boasts a thousand exceptional musi- cal moments and famous airs. An event not to be missed under any circumstances !
