GEORGE LI
The young pianist George Li , burst onto the scene in 2015 with the prestigious Tchaikovsky competition. An American in love with French literature, he took the closed world of international concert pianists by storm, going from recitals to concertos, philharmonics to festivals.
At the tender age of 24, there seems to be no piece that he cannot master, as he combines “youthful abandon with utter command” according to the New York Times. The press regularly praises his rare maturity in one so young, as his fingers fly over the ivory keys with untold grace. His programme includes pieces by Beethoven and Liszt , and is the fruit of his eclectic taste, just like his multifaceted talent. There are rumours that he may even improvise a cadenza in the middle of his recital... Truly a pianist you need to hear now!
