Concert

Pierre and Théo Fouchenneret

Schubert, Schumann, Bartók
Recital Piano Violin
Thursday 2 April - 8:30 pm
Conservatoire Darius Milhaud

Among fraternal musical duo, here is the one formed by the Fouchennerets, Pierre on violin and Théo on piano.

Following on from Sophie de Bardonnèche’s baroque violin concert, the very same day, audiences will be given a chance to appreciate some “classical” violin. Théo Fouchenneret was named “Instrumental soloist newcomer” at the 2019 Victoires de la musique and has been performing regularly over the past few years with his big brother Pierre, a dedicated chamber music fan. The two musicians share a taste for the romantic repertoire, in particular the work of Schumann, and they recently made a number of notable recordings of his work. At Aix this year, they will play Schumann’s Piano Sonata No. 3, a lesser known piece compared to its two big sisters. It will follow Schubert’s virtuoso Rondo brillant and the recital ends with Bartok’s daring, modern and passionate Violin Sonata No. 1.
