We are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the death of Beethoven with a dream line-up: Martha Argerich, back together with Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, to perform the Triple Concerto with Klaus Mäkelä conducting the Orchestre de Paris.

We are coming to the end of Klaus Mäkelä’s collaboration with the Orchestre de Paris. In just a few years, he has made a name for himself as one of the most gifted and charismatic conductors of his generation. Mäkelä has many other adventures lined up, but what a way to go out! This year in Aix, he will perform with a particularly close-knit trio of artists. Old friends, the great Martha Argerich and the Capuçon brothers have a particular fondness for the piece they are set to perform and with which they captivated Parisian audiences in 2026. The enchanting lyricism of Beethoven’s uncategorisable Triple Concerto will provide a counterpoint to the symphonic pages of Brahms’ Tragic Overture and Third Symphony, another fervent Beethoven devotee.
