Diana Tishchenko

SCHUBERT, RAVEL, STRAVINSKY

Winner of the Long-Thibaut-Crespin award in 2018, the Ukrainian violinist Diana Tishchenko has played her superb 1754 Guadagnini at a series of triumphant recitals all over the world.

Her comfort zone is the romantic repertoire, and her “unnervingly natural pos.ture and superbly refined sonority” ( Classicagenda ) are remark.able. She is also an excellent duettist with piano in tandem with Zoltán Fejérvári, a disciple of the great András Schiff. They have chosen an eclectic repertoire that starts with a Divertimento by Stravinsky, followed by Schubert's Wanderer Fantasy, a piece of singular beauty that is so rarely performed. They will finish with the bewitching, fiendishly masterful Tzigane by Ravel.
