Camerata Salzburg

Louis Langrée & Hélène Grimaud

Camerata Salzburg has been under the direction of Louis Langrée since 2011 and was founded in 1952 by teachers and students of the Mozarteum. Camerata Salzburg will accompany the acclaimed pianist Hélène Grimaud who will be playing one of her favourite pieces: Ravel 's formidable Piano Concerto in G major , first played in 1932 by Marguerite Long with the composer conducting.

This piece is one of Ravel's most masterly compositions and associates the French refinement of the instrumentals with the feverish rhythms of blues and ragtime that fascinated French composers of the time.
